The Ashfield Ballet School was established in 1979, and has grown into the longest established dance school in the Redlands City area. As a well respected provider of dance tuition in the community, we are renowned for being specialists in classical ballet.  However, we also provide high quality tuition in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, national character and acrobatics.

Classes are available from the age of 3 years through to the Advanced level. We provide tuition from one lesson per week to a full range of examination and performance classes for girls and boys.  Students are prepared for the Australian Teachers of Dancing (A.T.O.D.) examinations in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, national character and Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) major vocational graded ballet examinations.

Examinations are optional however they are highly recommended to encourage children to achieve, set goals and gain confidence.  The school prides itself on the quality of its technical training which means that every student whether they attend once a week or every day will develop their dance skills to the best of their ability and to the highest standard.

We believe that dancers must also be highly educated and we enable our students particularly in the secondary years to continue dancing as much as possible while encouraging a solid education at their individual schools/colleges. Senior students at the ballet school in Years 11 and 12 are able to gain accreditation and valuable credit points on their senior certificates when they continue to participate in their major examinations with the A.T.O.D. and R.A.D. systems of training.  The Ashfield Ballet School consistently produces students who can go on with a full time dance career or tertiary studies after completing their high school education and dance training with us. Our teachers are able to guide and nurture our students through this busy time because they have all experienced it themselves.
